Executive Order 13360
Nine federal agencies responded to the NVSBC’s letter requesting they provide a copy of their Agency’s current strategy for insuring compliance with Executive Order 13360 as well as the name, telephone number and email for the senior level official designated for implementing the agency strategy. The NVSBC will follow up with each of these Agency’s to meet and provide feedback about how they can better serve the veteran small business community. - Department of the ARMY – “… The Army Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) developed a six-component strategic plan to increase contracting opportunities for SDVOSBs. - Department of Commerce – “…As the designated senior-level official responsible for the implementation of the Department’s plan to increase contract opportunities for SDVOSB, I am pleased to report that for the past three consecutive years fiscal years, FY 2012 – FY 2014, DOC has exceeded the 3% statuatory SDVOSB goal. This accomplishment is a testament to the Department’s leadership for their commitment to the Small Business Program and helping our veterans. - Department of Energy – “…, the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) submitted the attached report that dated January 27, 2011 [sic]. In subsequent years, the SBA has included the requirements of the annual EO 13360 Report be included in a Corrective Action Report that addresses failed strategies to meet any of the Statutory Goals set forth in the above-named Statute. We are enclosing the January 27th report as this will answers [sic] your questions. The senior level official responsible for implementing DOE’s strategy to meet the 3% SDVOSB goals has been the OSDBU Director.
