The NVSBC has kicked off a new program that develops a trusting relationship between an experienced business owner (Advisor) and an aspiring business owner (Seeker). The benefits of matching an Advisor with a Seeker include:
- fosters one-on-one education about federal government contracting;
- allows seeker to garner the immediate experience of a seasoned professional;
- expands the number of business contacts and networking opportunities; and
- allows the Advisor to ‘give back’ to both the NVSBC community and the Seeker.

Federal Agencies Strategic Plans for Implementing Executive Order 13360
Providing Opportunities for Service Disabled Veteran Businesses to Increase Their Federal Contracting and Subcontracting, Section 1 says “Heads of agencies shall provide opportunity for service disabled veteran businesses to significantly increase the Federal contracting and subcontracting of such businesses.”
Section 2 of that same publication states the duties of agency heads as follows:
- Develop a Strategy to implement the policy
- Make agency’s strategy publicly available and report annually to the Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
- Designate a senior level official who shall be responsible for developing and implementing the agency strategy.
The NVSBC reached out to all the federal agencies requesting copies of their Strategic Plans on September 14 , 2014. Copies of these plans are presented below.
